Personal Knowledge Management
Spring 2005 I wrote my Diploma thesis about Personal Knowledge Management. I always delayed putting it online, because I think I should change some things in the text, improve the structure, write a nice abstract etc… and never did. ;) So here it is without changes for download: PKM_Diplomarbeit.pdf

Abstract:
Developing a conceptual model of Personal Knowledge Management
Developments in information technology pose new demands at the knowledge worker and at the same time provide a variety of new solutions. When dealing with information and knowledge, the individual worker chooses a combination of tools and methods to improve his or her work effectiveness. This personal knowledge management is still a little researched topic. In this diploma thesis conceptualisations are drawn from different sources, which adress PKM, and are integrated into a comprehensive conceptual framework. The results are summarised with regard to two different practical applications: a knowledge worker perspective and a tool-oriented perspective.
