Open Small Freight Logistics
As I wrote once, it should be possible to connect car navigation systems to a carsharing site.
Now something else came to my mind: All the people driving around in their cars and all the people selling and buying stuff online… (Or craving for these special cookies from italy.) How about letting the first group take care of transporting the goods of the second group? Should cost less than traditional parcel services but is very flexible concerning individual needs. Might be basis for small courier business.
Biggest problem would be trust: I wonder how other parcel services handle trusting their employees? On the other hand each courier is personally known by the sender, on the point of handing out the package…
