Life after music industry
I was talking to a fellow student about file sharing recently. We both agreed that it ultimately might crush music industry as we know it and that the quality of todays music might not be reached anymore.
But then she gave me a new thought: Making music yourself, playing, singing, composing and everything, might become normal again. When we do not feel like having to rise up to these artificially polished voices we hear every day, it might be ok just to sing in the street - even though your voice is not perfect. Just the way it was for almost all times…
And still people who felt like it would record their music and share it on the net, in the global village, just like they did under their village oak some decades ago. :-)
